How far will Rose go to keep a promise? The recent Strigoi attack at St. Vladimir’s Academy was the deadliest ever in the school’s history, claiming the lives of many. Even worse, the Strigoi took some of their victims with them - including Dimitri. He’d rather die than be one of them, and now Rose must abandon her best friend, Lissa—the one she has sworn to protect no matter what—and keep the promise Dimitri begged her to make long ago. But with everything at stake, how can she possibly destroy the person she loves most?

After searching Russia for Dimitri and finally escaping, Rose is back. She's ready for her trials, but with everything she's missed while being away, will what she has be enough to pass and become a Guardian? Then there's the situation regarding Dimitri, who it appears is *not* dead and is now stalking her. Creepiness level? Off the scales!!

The guardian test was fantastic! The idea that Rose was given a completely different and much harder test than everybody else was a great touch. I'm glad they did, she was more experienced than all of the other novices and

My heart really goes out to Adrian. Despite Rose claiming that she's completely over Dimitri, it's clear she can't fully return the feelings Adrian has for her, and it seems as though she won't love someone as much as she loved Dimitri ever again :( Adrian's isn't stupid, he knows Rose still pines for Dimitri, but he's determined to get her attention, and I loved that in him. He doesn't give up, I'll give him that, even when he finds himself agreeing to something really crazy, and when he turned up in Vegas after Rose and Lissa ran away to help Victor escape..*goodness gracious*

Fans of Vampire Academy will be tossed and turned through the thrilling ride that is Spirit Bound. The second to last book in the series, I'm sad that the story will soon end, but I guess I'll have to re-read--I promise you an extraordinary experience with every single read!

Look out for my review of Last Sacrifice on release date, 7th December!
